Seasonal confusion?

Or exhaustion maybe?    Or perhaps apathy...

Whatever it is, it's not very conducive to fashion blogging.

I thought I'd write a quick blog post to show that I am in fact still here!

Not feeling very fashionable or stylish at the moment, I'm going through one of my (delete as applicable) phases:
- house feels more important than clothes
- tis neither one season or the other
- there is tat everywhere (including sadly my wardrobe, the sales purchases 'gone bad') and I can't get inspired.

I hopefully will be back 'up to speed' soon and organise myself and my clothes and get going with my entires properly again. For the moment though, I feel a washed out style free zone, and would not want to inflict that on anyone!

I think I need to get into autumn styling - that will give me a boost - but it's still August and really I shouldn't wish the time away!

Does anyone else go through phases like this where they go into mini hibernation mode I wonder...?!

  1. Oh I understand totally. But I am glad that you are still around as I keep checking for your posts.

Parts of my house are a total train wreck. I have mounds of laundry. Every now and then I go off and "tittivate" an area and then I go and do something else more appealing like read or write a blog.

I haven't done many photo fashion blogs - my clothes don't bear thinking about at the moment (toilet training (for George) has a lot to answer for and comfort seems to be the priority of the day.

Chin up and a big hug. If it's any comfort, I heard on the news today that it is the last day of Summer so you can officially think about Autumn now! Yay! The Yay is for thinking about a new season wardrobe rather than Autumn being here.

  2. After blogging for such a long time, I often have phases where this happens and it is often at this time of year, the onset of autumn and winter is so depressing but you will get your mojo back for sure!

  5. Oh I know that feeling - have really struggled with the blog this week and wish I could have a little break. But back to school looms...have given myself a bloggy kick up the rear end and think we're back on track again. G'wan...we miss you! x

    1. Hi Avril - It's hard to get energetic and motivated in the dying days of summer, glad it's not just me :-) Hopefully when the new school term gets going the new feel of 'routine' might help?! x

  6. Thanks for your lovely comment about my Grandy: ) I am much the same - dragging myself through the last few days of the summer hols with a trashed house and no energy to sort it until the kids go back next week. I have made a few online purchases that I am hoping will reignite my fashion passion a little...it doesnt help that the summer has been so wet and I have eaten like it has been winter and put on half a stone. Bother. X

    1. I have put on weight too - also approx half a stone - oops! I really relate to what you've said about energy. I will get excited about the new season I'm sure (hope so anyway!) - just give me time and a wander around the shops when the final sales dregs have been cleared! Plus, it will be a great motivation for us to lose those extra pounds... x
