However, with cash put back into the kitty, I wandered back past Zara (unfortunately it's impossible not to, as it's on the route back to the car park...) It would have been unreasonable not just to have a look. Of course, sales and 'just looking' rarely go hand in hand, and I came away with a new pair of green skinny jeans and a pair of 'distressed' slim fit jeans.
Dorothy Perkins is also on the way back to the car park. As are (or could be) most shops actually...! Needless to say, the Dotty P London Flag Print scarf is now mine as well.
Oh well - it was 'cost neutral' as I'd returned the Primark stuff - so I didn't really breach my spending ban did I?!

You are going great guns with the blog Anna!! Good for you. I'm laughing at your shopping ban criteria....that's the sort of logic I work with too. Loving the new purchases. Avril x
ReplyDeleteHi Avril, thanks for all your comments. excellent criteria I say, back to where you started - just with a different set of items! Don't bother with the studded tote by the way...your instinct was spot on - it was amongst the returned items today - decided husband was right and it was too near 'naff' for comfort! xx
DeleteLike the cost neutral logic - must have been separated at birth! There's absolutely no rational thinking about how we have saved money by spending money by returning something to spend it again. But I like it.....
ReplyDeleteI've not seen the apple green jeans but I like them. I already have the teal/jade ones from Primark so I can't justify another pair that I don't wear that often. Still can't beat a pair of blue distressed denim jeans - my personal favourite. I do like the snake skin print on the scarf - see you can do animal prints!
:-D cost neutral = my new buzzword, helping the economy one return at a time...! The scarf is indeed very snake-like, fortunately I've nothing against snakes, so it's fine. I know I will wear it loads as I wear so much blue. x
DeleteI love my green jeans and also that scarf is gorgeous!
